New Features/Site Upgrade

Folks, we'll be performing some upgrades to ASW for the next couple of days. The upgrades will include, if I can manage, the requested features like itrader and a member's world map that you asked for in our suggestion forum. We will take this opportunity to perform some routine upgrades to keep our site secure and running well.

We don't expect any downtime or forum closures, but if things look a little wonky...you know we tripped over a wire somewhere during the upgrades and installations.

If you notice anything astray, or like something we did, feedback is always appreciated in our Feedback and Suggestion Box.

Enhanced User Profiles

• Ability post visitor messages to people's profiles. You could use this quick message interface to thank someone for their great advice or as a quick hello.
• Create your own albums inside your profiles
• Create a social network of friends
• Check your itrader rating
• And much more!

iTrader

• Most of you guys know what itrader is. But for those who don't it's a way to give feedback (just like ebay) or purchases you made on the forum.
• You'll see it only in the Market Place Forum and inside your profiles.

ASW Membership Map

• Maps out members online and overall membership. See details here.

Embedded YouTube Video

• Have a youtube video you like to share? Insert the video code (highlighted in pink) of your video URL www,youtube.com.watch?v=KVwBWXVod7M into the tags provided by this icon,, in the reply post interface.

Attachment Previews

• Image attachments will now open up within your browser in a "slick way" (test it out with the attachments to this post).

Smilies Enhancement

• New smilies loaded
• Smilies Toolbar loaded in the quick reply area
• Smilies are now randomized

Notifications

• New notification menu when you receive new PMs or Visitor Messages
• New notification of unread posts in your welcome block

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) Feeds

• RSS Feeds are now available
