It was a close race that's for sure! Thanks to everyone who participated and made ASW's first ever Aquatic Plant Photo Contest fun and exciting. I everyone has a chance to participate in the future ones. ASW's staff and I would especially like to thank everyone who contributed a photo for our developing aquatic/aquascaping database.

Until our next contest...Please extend a BIG hand and congratulate our winning photographers.

John, my entry, the shot is very old, I was not seriously into plants then, so I dont know for sure what it was, but I think it was an extreme close up of a Rotala species, rotundifolia or indica, or something similar.

Show's that you don't need an expensive camera too. My entry was taken with a 2MP compact.

Whatever the plant is, it certainly looks nice. The coloration is almost like something that was grown emersed. Great picture through and through. Congrats on the win.

Yup, for those who said they couldn't compete with all those fancy DSLR photogs out there...George just prove ya wrong.
