I don't think I said that...I was mostly commenting on the change from green to red. To me, it is apparent that the plant was grown in different conditions, some that lead to greener growth and some that lead to redder growth(current tank conditions). Also, in these tank conditions rotundifolia and macrandra have different growing characteristics - rotundifolia will want to creep.
There are many things that can influence how red it will get - light, phosphate, nitrate, and iron levels.
