I got a pH controller from Milwaukee Instruments, and also look at the plants and signs of algae.
The pH probe needs to be re-calibrated, I just use a glass of RO water to calibrate it back to 7.0, then set it to cut the Co2 off at 6.4.
Then the tweak is related to how many bubbles per second while Co2 is actually on.
I just watch for bubbles from the external reactor coming out of the return and tweak down if it looks like I'm wasting.
